The Challenge
Terri was the winner of a local radio competition for an extreme makeover. The prize included extensive plastic surgery, gastric-bypass surgery, and surgery to remove excess tissue after her 150 pounds of weight loss. The new Terri now wanted the perfect smile, but was more than a little scared of more surgery.

The Solution
“Instant” makeovers rarely allow time for orthodontic procedures,, which would have been an excellent complement to Terri’s treatment. The Studio Dentistry team came up with the perfect solution and the perfect smile for Terri including minor gum recontouring, straightening of crooked teeth, a fixed bridge on the upper left and the widening of her smile, so she ended up with more visible teeth. Terri said “Wow!” after receiving her makeover. Like many patients, her past fears were easily overcome with treatment under conscious sedation.
